The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be administered, across the province, on April 8, 2010 to Grade 10 students and some Grade 11 and 12 students. All students who are working toward a secondary school diploma will be required to successfully complete the OSSLT as part of their diploma requirements. This test is designed to determine whether or not students have acquired the reading and writing skills that are essential for their success in high school and beyond.
Please see the School News link to the right for more information.

Please note that St. Thomas Aquinas strives to provide a NUT-FREE, RASPBERRY-FREE and SCENT-FREE environment. A member of our school has A LIFE-THREATENING ALLERGY TO THE SLIGHTEST TRACE OF RASPBERRIES. Please ensure snacks or lunches DO NOT CONTAIN ANY RASPBERRY content. This includes YOGURTS, GRANOLA BARS, DRINKS, etc. Thank you for your co-operation in helping us attain this
goal.

Nourishing Catholic Education One Recipe at a Time
Do you have a favourite recipe ? In partnership with the South Simcoe Catholic community of schools, the St. Thomas Aquinas CSS School Community Council is fundraising in support of the local St. Vincent de Paul. We are asking for you to submit one or two of your yummiest recipes – appetizer, entrée or dessert. Please go to www.sts.smcdsb.on.ca to download the recipe form. We are also seeking food-related artwork, generated by all student ages, to include in the cookbook. All recipes and artwork are
welcome, and some will be selected. The deadline for submission of both recipes and artwork is Monday, March 26, 2010. Please submit to STATottenhamCookbook@hotmail.com or at the Main Office at one of our schools. Be sure to check with your school or parish in early May to purchase your very own copy of our community of schools cookbook, to help nourish Catholic Education one recipe at a time! Thank you for your continued support.
